After a study of a specific font, we designed a trading card for that specific font with a few major factors. The front had a decorative design based around the history of the font. On the back came a description of that history, along with the full typeface and a breakdown of the major structural design aspects of that font. The font that I chose for my trading card was Arnold Boecklin, a font that was created in the 1920’s but wasn't popularized until the 60’s with the rise of musicians such as the Grateful dead using it within their main advertising and marketing. These two factors lead me to the style of the design I illustrated for the front of my card.
